That is all. Full stop.

If you find the statement to be political or controversial, then you’ve got an issue to deal with – racism.

Here’s a Chinese translation of Black Lives Matter which I had my auntie review and give the thumb’s up on: 黑人的命也是命. It roughly translates to “Black peoples’ lives are lives too.”

I’ve made the design available on some tee shirts and buttons. If you make a purchase, 100% of the proceeds plus an additional 10% from Threadless will go toward Black Live Matter, which is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.

This comic was printed in the June 5, 2020 issue of The Sampan Newspaper, the only bilingual Chinese-English Newspaper in New England.
